these are the videos of our breaking news... We did a news on suicide attempt.. and i was the victim... attempting to commit suicide from fifth floor... bit actually what i was doing was just laughing and waving my shawl out from the window..... hahahaha... lucky couldn't see my face in the video... and a few people came up to me and asked who was the person trying to commit suicide... When I told my mum about it, she thought that I was really going to jump and she was scolding me and asking someone else to do it... Since it was my idea, i had to do it... But it was really fun..
This is the second part of my news. It's about virtual changing rooms. Here comes my script and the video. I can't wait for this invention to come to Jusco... hehehehehe....
Now, moving on to our next news. Here’s a gadget for people who love shopping for clothes, but don’t have time to swap and change to find something in their size. VIRTUAL changing rooms where there is no need to get your kit off could come to a clothes shop near you next year. The futuristic idea was unveiled this week by its inventors at the Biomechanical Institute in the Prince Felipe Museum of Valencia’s City of Arts and Sciences. Would-be shoppers stand in front of a screen, where their measurements are taken by a simulator behind it. They then pick out the outfits that appeal to them from an extensive catalogue of clothing. The simulator superimposes the garments onto the individual’s 3D image, revealing how they would fit if worn. It can even suggest other items that might suit you. Shoppers can choose from the different colours available at the click of a button. Once you have selected your favourite outfit, you can then buy it in the correct size and colour.Instead of having to put on endless combinations to find the best outfit to suit you, the system will allow people to combine shirts, suits and shoes at the touch of a button. Shoppers will enjoy going shopping because it makes shopping an experience rather than a chore.
The idea of the invention is to speed up the process of trying on clothes before buying, and has the added advantage of preventing theft. Future proposed variations on the theme include shoes, hairstyles, and weight-loss. The virtual changing room is expected to be piloted in certain design outlets in the city in 2011. I am in charge of human interest section. So I decided to talk about technology. My first news was about the dangers of uploading the photos online. Here's my script and the pictures....
Good morning and welcome back. You are with me Pavithrah Devi Asogan. Today, in human interest section we have two interesting news about technology.
First, is on uploading your pictures online. In the last few years, the number of people using Social Networking sites has grown considerably. This can be seen in sites such as Facebook , MySpace and Friendster. Most of the times the users of Social Networking sites do not really realize that they are being silently targeted by certain irresponsible parties.
Every Social Networking sites give their members the option to upload photos to their profiles. The users apparently take that opportunity to create incredible online galleries of hundreds of personal photos. Only a small fraction of users understand that any photos that they uploaded can be downloaded by anybody anywhere in the world and they practice caution in their uploading. Many, however are oblivious to the risks and dangers; blatantly upload all sorts of photos much to the delight of irresponsible people.
This problem is all too common now. Not only women but many men were also taken by surprise upon knowing that their personal photos are being used unethically without their given consents. The worst case that could happen is seeing their photos superimposed and later distributed openly in the internet as pornographic materials!
Should you find that somebody you knew very well is featured for the wrong and unethical reason on the internet, please let them know as soon as possible. If it’s proven that your photos are being used without your given consent, take a screenshot of the website featuring your photos real quick and file a police report on the double!
For those who are concerned and don’t want to get into any controversies, the following tips might come in handy:
Never upload revealing photos online.
Always make a habit of uploading group photos rather than individual photos. Ask permission from everybody in the picture before their image is posted online.
If you really have no other choice but to upload individual photos online, please make sure that they are low resolution images as they are harder to modify. Never upload high resolution or crystal clear photos of yourself online!
So, the next time before you upload something, please bear these pictures in your mind before doing so.

I will be uploading all the videos and pictures of our newscasting project... will take some time for me to upload the whole thing because I am a bit busy studying for my exam... I will upload only when i am bored of studying.... hehehehehe....
NEWSCASTING PROJECT... Consumed all my precious time... I was going crazy last week... Never felt so stressed in my whole life before this... Didn't even had time to go for lunch and I had to sacrifice my beauty sleep... I am the one who is in charge of editing the video and it was really complicated and irritating... Downloading, converting, editing, adding music, transitions and animations... haiyooo... with exam coming in 2 weeks... I was so worried because I had no time to study... After a few weeks of hard work... Finally today we did our newscasting... Everything was ok when we were doing our rehearsal... But after Ms. Faustina came in, don't know what went wrong... Had some problem with the video's sound ... Something was wrong with the projector and everything on the screen was greenish yellow... Lucky we saved it in a pendrive so we had to use a different laptop and finally it worked... When we finished, I was feeling so relieved.. When my classmates applaused after we finished, i was feeling so proud of myself... All my effort paid off... And I think Ms. Faustina liked it also because she was laughing... She refused to comment on anything... She said she will comment later... I can't upload the video that i made here because it's too big... I will figure out a way to do it... And we couldn't take a video of us presenting because it was too dark.. we took some pictures though... I will upload them later because the photos are in my friend's camera... And now, I can study peacefully without worrying about anything.....
The MBBS batch 15 people organised a charity night to collect donation for the Padang Earthquake victims... The performances were really nice.. I enjoyed the show... Well done to all my friends who were involved.....
I got my first term results... I am very happy with it......... But there is room for improvements though... Hope i can maintain my results till the third term..... and enter MBBS next year....
